*TAB (DISK I/O)

*TAB={position}

This disk I/O control forces a tab to specified position before processing the next variable. The value must be greater than or equal to one and less than or equal to the sector or record size. It must be a valid Ctrl value, a numeric variable, an Expression, or an equated variable. Tabbing beyond physical record boundaries is not allowed and results in an I/O error.
