Cut (Edit Menu)

The Cut function of the Edit Menu removes the selected text and puts it on the Clipboard. This command is available only when text is selected.

Any text that you place on the Clipboard remains until you replace it with new text.

To quickly remove selected text from the file and place it on the Clipboard, click the Cut button on the toolbar or use the Ctrl+X key sequence.
