Copy (Views Menu)

The Copy function allows an existing view, column, or database entry to be cloned. Upon selection, the Copy View dialog will be displayed. When copying a view, a dialog will be presented. When copying columns or database entries, the selected items will be added to the clipboard.

To quickly place items on the Clipboard, click the Copy button on the toolbar or use the control C key sequence.

Once selected, the copy function will display the following dialog:

New View Name

The required name of the new view. A default name comprised of the original view name and the string "_copy" is proposed as a default value.

Description

An area for optionally describing or document the new view.

Columns

Allows selection of columns to be copied. Buttons allow for quick selection of all or none of the columns. A minimum of one column must be selected to perform the copy.
