SETUPPER


 

The SETUPPER utility allows creation or modification of an uppercase translation table support files used with the PLB_AAMUPPER keyword. The command line for SETUPPER is:

 

 

SETUPPER {file}

Parameters:
file
The optional name of the translation table file to be created or modified.

Note the following:

  1. If the file name is not specified on the command line, it defaults to a file name of "upper.tbl".

  2. The default output file name extension is "tbl".

  3. The {datafile} is a simple 256-byte character map that translates a given character identified by an offset into the table with a character value found at that offset.

  4. Cursor keys position to offset character positions within the table as follows:

    Up

    Down

    down.

 

  1. Command keys allow the user to select and store uppercase association characters as follows:

    DEL

    Select and activate the character association mode.

    INS

    Store a current uppercase translation character.

    END

    Set the character association to not active.

    ESCAPE

    Exit the utility.

    F2

    Reset translation table to default.

    F10

    Write translation table to file.

    Function ...

    Right Click

    Selects and deselects a character at the click point to enable and disable the character association mode. When the character association mode is active, the selected character will have a cell color of green. When the character association is not active, no cell shows as green.

    Left Click

    Selects a character in the uppercase translation table. If the character association mode is not active, the table cell is selected and the cell color is set to yellow. However, if the character association mode is active, the selected table cell is associated with a current translation character identified by the green cell. The translated cell will show two characters in the color red with the table cell background color set to yellow.
