REMSERVER Property

The REMSERVER property specifies a DNS (Domain Name Server) name for a remote server used when creating an AUTOMATION object with Microsoft's DCOM support. The property uses the following format:

REMSERVER={value}

Note the following:

  1. REMSERVER may be used in CREATE and GETPROP statements of an AUTOMATION object.

  2. {value} must be a Character String Variable.

  3. This property requires that Microsoft's DCOM support must be installed and configured before use.
