*PREPUSEIP (GETMODE)

*PREPUSEIP={value}

The *PREPUSEIP control allows a program to retrieve the current string settings for PLB_PREPUSEIP. The use of this keyword automatically redirects files in a program to a data manager without having to make any source changes to the program.

{value} is a previously defined Character String Variable that returns the default IP address and port number used for all non-redirected file PREPAREs.
