Cut (Edit menu)

Removes the selected text and puts it on the Clipboard. This command is available only when text is selected.

Any text that you place on the Clipboard remains there until you replace it with a new text.

To quickly remove selected text and place it on the Clipboard, click the Cut button on the toolbar or use the control X key sequence.
