Installation

The Sunbelt PL/B IDE Studio is installed as part of the normal Sunbelt Visual PL/B installation process. During that process, the user is allowed to specify the root installation directory. Within that directory is a directory named "code" that contains the sunide.plc program. The default root directory is "Sunbelt\Plbwin.xyz" where xyz is the software release and revision numbers (i.e., Sunbelt\Plbwin.103).

This compilation process called by the IDE employs an internal make process to compile any out of date source files. Since this process relies on the time and date stamp of files to determine when an object file should be rebuilt, it is important to keep the time and date of your workstation set correctly.
