LOGON_HOST Keyword


 

     LOGON_HOST={ip|URL}:{portnum}

 

This keyword defines an IP address or URL and a port number for the server's log on task. This value allows the user application log on address to be different than the replication logon address. The {portnum} port number must be supplied for this keyword.

Format:

 

LOGON_HOST={ip|URL}:{portnum}

 

Where:

ip | URL
The IP address or the URL of the server executing the data manager task that allows another replication server to log on to this replication server.
portnum
The portnum defines the IP port number for a replication server log on task. The port number must be specified with this keyword keyword and must not be the same as the port number associated with DM_HOSTNAME keyword.

Notes:

  1. This keyword is required for a Linux server and optional for a Windows server.

  2. If this keyword is not provided for a Windows server, the HOSTnn settings are used.

  3. This keyword is only applies to the log on process and is only required for server to server communications.
