FAIL_TIME={seconds}

This keyword identifies the number of seconds that a secondary server will wait while processing a connection failure to a primary server before the invoking rollover and taking control of the network.

This keyword must be specified in the replication section of the configuration file for the primary server and is transferred to the secondary servers when they log on to the primary server. If this keyword is not specified, a default of 180 seconds is used.

Format:

FAIL_TIME={seconds}

Where:

seconds

The number of seconds that a secondary server waits before invoking the primary rollover action. If the value is less than twenty (20), a minimum of twenty seconds is used.
