ALLOW_CHILD_LOGON Keyword

 

The ALLOW_CHILD_LOGON keyword controls user access to secondary or backup servers.

     ALLOW_CHILD_LOGON={ON|OFF}

 

Note the following:

  1. By default, this feature is turned OFF.

  2. This capability allows users to read the data files on a secondary or backup Sundm replicator server. If any PL/B application attempts to write data at the secondary or backup server for a file opened as a managed file, an access denied IO error occurs.

 

Example:

 

     [replication]

     ALLOW_CHILD_LOGON=ON
