FREE

The FREE utility displays the available disk space in bytes for a particular drive.

Parameter:

drives

The optional letters of the drives to be accessed.

Note the following:

1. If no drive letter is given, the current drive is the default.

2. The ':' and ':\' usually listed after the drive name are not necessary, but are optional.

3. The following error messages may appear during execution of the FREE command:

Drive n: is invalid

The drive name chosen is not a valid choice.

Not ready error reading drive n:

Abort, Retry, Fail?

The media was not inserted properly or was unavailable.
