BLOKEDIT Messages


 

The following messages may be generated during execution of the BLOKEDIT utility:

OUTPUT FILE ALREADY EXISTS. OVERWRITE (Y/N) ?

The {output} file already exists and the 'O' option was not specified on the command line.

INVALID BLOKEDIT COMMAND. REST OF COMMAND IGNORED.

A command entered via the keyboard or the command file is invalid.

NO INPUT FILE IS CURRENTLY OPEN.

Line numbers to copy were specified and you failed to open an input file.

INPUT FILE NOT FOUND.

The specified {cmdfile} could not be located.

END OF FILE IN INPUT FILE.

The EOF was located in the current input file before line count specified was reached.

Enter a BLOKEDIT command. Enter * to exit.

BLOKEDIT COMPLETED. OUTPUT FILE n LINES LONG.

EXTENSION AND/OR DRIVE INVALID WITHOUT FILE NAME.

A file name must be specified. File type or drive alone is not sufficient.

OUTPUT FILE MUST BE SPECIFIED.

{output} name required.

UNEXPECTED END OF FILE IN INPUT FILE. BLOKEDIT TERMINATED.

An EOF was encountered in the {cmdfile} before closing the current input file or during text input.

INPUT AND OUTPUT FILES MUST BE DIFFERENT.

Self explanatory.

OUTPUT FILE EXISTS AND 'O' NOT SPECIFIED FOR OVERWRITE.

INPUT COMMAND FILE NOT FOUND.

Self explanatory.

OUTPUT FILE COULD NOT BE OPENED FOR WRITE.

{output} is write protected.
