Alloy NTNX Support

SUNDB86x Only

The following notes apply to the use of this software under NTNX:

  1. Each user on the system is a workstation and, therefore, must load its own ANSI device drivers. However, the DOS SHARE command must not be loaded or else indeterminate results occur and data integrity is compromised. A warning message appears when SUNDBSYS is loaded if the SHARE command has been loaded.

  2. File Mode 3 is recommended. If the incorrect File Mode is specified, a warning message appears when SUNDBSYS is loaded.

  3. One of the IBM PC Monochrome Screen Definitions (if using windows) must be selected. Selection of the IBM PC Color Screen Definition causes the screen save and refresh capabilities to work incorrectly on the Slaves and may generate other display problems.

  4. DO NOT RUN THE ALLOY UTILITY DOSCHECK AND TURN OFF THE MULTI-USER FILE CHECKING! Doing so disables the NTNX support required by SUNDBSYS causing data integrity to be compromised.
