PLB_OPENUSEIP Keyword

PLBWIN, PLBCE or PLB Linux

PLB_OPENUSEIP={value}

This keyword identifies a default IP address used for all non-redirected file OPENs, RENAMEs and ERASEs. The use of this keyword can allow the files for a program to be automatically redirected to a data manager without having to make any source changes to the program.

The FINDFILE instruction behavior is also modified by this control. When defined, FINDFILE will access files on the data manager.

The keyword PLB_PREPUSEIP identifies a default IP address for PREPARE statements and the PLB_SPLUSEIP does the same for SPLOPEN statements.

Programmatic access to this runtime option is available through the GETMODE and SETMODE instructions.

Note:

  1. The keyword PLB_EXTEND_OPENUSEIP extends the behavior to include the AAMDEX,INDEX, SORT, FINDDIR, and COPYFILE instructions. (10.3)
