*USESPLEXT (SETMODE)

*USESPLEXT={ON | OFF}

This control specifies that the default spool file extension should be applied to file names used in SPLOPEN instructions.

This same ability to control the application of the default extension can also be controlled using the PLB_SPLEXT runtime keyword.
