*SHAREFLUSH (SETMODE)

*SHAREFLUSH={ON | OFF}

The *SHAREFLUSH list allows modification of the automatic shared file flushing feature of the runtime. If the state is ON (the default state), files opened in SHARE mode are automatically flushed anytime the data file is extended.

Disabling this feature will increase program performance but it may be possible to lose data if a workstation loses power or is rebooted with buffered data.

This runtime mode may be controlled using the PLB_SHAREFLUSH runtime keyword.
