Literals and Control Characters (KEYIN)

Literals are displayed according to the following rules:

• All string literals are displayed on the screen exactly as provided.

• The first character in the literal is displayed at the current cursor position.

• The cursor is bumped one position to the right for every character displayed. Upon completion, it remains one position to the right of the last character displayed.

• Binary, Decimal, Octal and Hex characters are sent to the terminal as specified.
