*ESCHAR (KEYIN)

ANSI

*ESCHAR={char}

This list control permits the user to define which character is displayed in conjunction with an *ESON if the default asterisk is not desirable. {char} must be separated from *ESCHAR by an equal sign.

{char} must be a string Literal, equated value, or string variable. If it is a variable, only the Form Pointed (FP) character is used.

The selected character remains in effect until program termination or until it is changed through another *ESCHAR.
