*OPENUSEIP (GETMODE)

*OPENUSEIP={value}

The *OPENUSEIP control allows a program to retrieve the current string settings for PLB_OPENUSEIP. The use of this keyword allows automatic redirection of files in a program to a data manager without making any source changes to the program.

{value} is a previously defined Character String Variable that returns the default IP address and port number used for all non-redirected file OPENs.

The FINDFILE instruction behavior is also modified by this control. When defined, FINDFILE will access files on the data manager.
