*T (COMREAD)

*T[={seconds}])

This control causes a time-out to occur if more than {seconds} elapse between the reception of any two consecutive characters. All remaining variables in the list are set to null. This control remains in effect until another time-out control is executed or the COMREAD instruction terminates. If not specified, the default is three (3) seconds. The value may be given in fractional seconds.

This control is ignored when using COMREAD with Window Sockets.
